About the Artist

Stacy Pendleton is a lifelong devotee of music and the written word. She grew up singing in rock and jazz bands, while simultaneously falling in love with the raw, honest storytelling of Delta Blues and Celtic folk music. She has received extensive classical and musical theater training, as well, and began formal vocal training at the age of 10. Her passion for music as medicine led her down the path of meditation and chanting Sanskrit mantras as instruments of healing at a nearby Hindu temple, while she simultaneously studied opera, travelled  through Europe and received mentorship from world renowned opera singers.

She studied theater and classical voice at Cornish College of the Arts for two years. Stacy ultimately received her Bachelors Degree at The Evergreen State College when the opportunity to study with Cyndia Sieden while participating in interdisciplinary music, theater, world religion and poetry immersion programs proved too exciting to deny. Threads of all of these influences are woven into her music to this day, and she loves to discover what others hear in the music she writes and performs.

Stacy has been the front woman of Dream and Blue Ritual, as well as countless other bands, acoustic duos, and solo projects. She has also been a professional studio session musician since she was a teenager, and loves to lend her voice to fellow musicians and song writers who inspire her. She has shared the stage with such musical greats as Grammy Award winners Diane Schuur, Terrence Blanchard, and Michael Escalante. Over the years, Stacy has performed at numerous jazz and blues festivals and beloved art and music venues throughout California and the Pacific Northwest, including the Washington Center for the Performing Arts, The Coach House, Seven-Degrees, Orange County Center for Contemporary Art, and had the privilege of playing for renowned artist Alex Grey at his artist's retrospective at the Frank M. Doyle Arts Pavillion.

Stacy's most recent EP "Avalanche of Love" released on 11/11/17 clearly reflects her folk and blues influences. It's peppered with rock, soul, and a hint of Americana, the latter of which was inspired by Bobbo Byrnes (The Fallen Stars, Riddle and the Stars, Wandering Star Recording Studio) who produced, arranged, played guitar, and engineered the sound on the EP.
